My Story<\/h1>\n

Bill\u2019s Beatles Collection is a display of over 60 years of collecting Beatles memorabilia.<\/span><\/p>\n

My story started a few months before Feb 9 1964.<\/span>
<\/span><\/p>\n

My mother worked for WHSmith (UK based books and records sales) in<\/span> Montreal and would purchase the latest records for me and my sister. I<\/span> was already listening to the music of the Beatles when their<\/span> appearance on the Ed Sullivan show was announced.<\/span><\/p>\n

Joining in the anticipation of millions of others I was glued to the<\/span> TV set at 8 PM Sunday Feb 9 1964.\u00a0 Life shifted and I was enthralled<\/span> like so many others.<\/span><\/p>\n

I saw them live on their first North American tour when they played<\/span> the Montreal forum. I say \u201csaw\u201d because the noise of the screaming and<\/span> cheering left my ears ringing for days.<\/span><\/p>\n

I am a collector at heart and the Beatles have become my life long passion.<\/span><\/p>\n

Like most teenagers at the time, I had records, magazines, buttons,<\/span> bubble-gum cards and other memorabilia and of course the haircut.<\/span> Their songs spoke to me then and continue to do that to this day.<\/span><\/p>\n

I have had the privilege of meeting many from the Beatles \u201cinner<\/span> circle\u201d including Louise Harrison, Julia Baird, Alistair Stairs, and<\/span> Pete Best among others.<\/span><\/p>\n
